Ducted Reverse Cycle

Ducted air conditioning is a type of central air conditioning system that uses a network of ducts to distribute conditioned air throughout your home or commercial space. The system consists of an outdoor unit, an indoor unit, ducting, outlets and zone or central controls.

The ducted air conditioning system provides a number of benefits over other types of air conditioning systems, including:

  • It can cool or heat large areas of space evenly.
  • It is quiet and provides a seamless comfortable space.
  • It can be zoned, so that you can control the temperature in different parts of your home or building independently.
  • It is relatively easy to maintain.

However, ducted air conditioning systems can be expensive to install and purchase, however they are an investment in your comfort and property value.

If you are considering installing a ducted air conditioning system, it is important to consider the energy consumption that a ducted system will consume. They are not the cheapest systems to run, but if designed correctly with the latest smart controllers and energy monitoring sensors in combination with a solar PV system the running costs can be reduced significantly.

Here are some additional things to consider when choosing a ducted air conditioning system:

  • The size of your home or building. The system should be sized to properly cool or heat the entire space.
  • The type of ductwork. The ductwork should be properly sized and insulated to maximize efficiency.
  • What type of zone and system controllers are needed to reduce energy costs, make use of solar power or control your system while away from home. These also allow for smart lighting, garage door openers, power and other smart home options.
  • The overall design of the ductwork and system can make a huge difference to performance and efficiency.

At Greener Race we use engineering software and floor plans to ensure the system will work efficiently, using the latest technology and top quality air con units from Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric.

We use Izone and Air touch controllers, these allow for induvial temperature sensors in each zone and have allow us to add some extras to help with energy efficiency and performance.

These systems allow allow for smart control of lights, garage doors, power sockets  to turn your home or business into a smart building, very similar to the commercial and industrial HVAC/R controls we work with, just designed and priced for the domestic and smaller commercial side.
